Returns, Cancellations and Replacements
(a) Steady Comps Ltd applies all rights to consumer purchases as provided by the Consumer Rights Act 2015, and Consumer Contracts Regulations 2014 which relate more specifically to online orders. These regulations give consumers a cooling-off period of 14 days from the point of placing an order with Steady Comps Ltd online to cancel the order or return the goods. We then allow up to a further 14 days for you to arrange for the safe return of the goods to Steady Comps Ltd if they have already been delivered.
An unwanted product can be returned for a full refund within 30 days of delivery as long as it’s still in its original, unopened packaging. This returns policy for unopened goods is in addition to your statutory rights. You must not start using the goods, install any software or input any data or make changes of any sort. The goods must be returned in ‘as new’ condition and in their original packaging.
Steady Comps Ltd may cover the cost of returns using DHL or UPS if you cannot return the items yourself. This will be deducted from any refund, and serial numbers will be checked to prevent fraud.
We reserve the right to issue a partial refund for any items which are not returned in their original condition and/or are used and/or damaged. Full refunds will only be issued on genuine returns.
Fraudulent returns will be reported to the police.
Refunds will be issued within 4 working days of processing.
(b) Build-to-Order Systems: Please note that build-to-order systems (custom machines) such as those ordered from Apple cannot be cancelled once the order is placed, as Apple requires us to purchase these items regardless. If a customer wishes to cancel an order for a custom-built system, the cancellation may not qualify for a full refund. A partial refund, typically 90% of the purchase price, may be issued to cover the costs incurred due to the custom nature of the order. This partial refund policy ensures we can manage the expenses associated with these specialised products. To avoid this scenario please ensure you are ordering the exact specification you require and that you are aware of the manufacturing time before dispatch. This policy is in accordance with Regulation 28(1)(b) of the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, which exempts custom-made or personalised goods from the usual 14-day right to cancel.
